Welcome to Scorpio Season!

Welcome to the dark side…

Scorpio season is all about embracing the darkness and meeting with our shadow selves. It’s also a time of heavy changes.

Scorpio rules sex, death, and total transformation. You could say that all three are one in the same. When I say “sex,” I am not referring to casual or drunken or mediocre sex — I’m talking about the act of two souls giving to one another completely, and in turn, creating new life. And when I say “death,” I’m not talking about the end, but the cycle of reincarnation.

Do not expect to be the same person you were from the first to the final day of Scorpio season. Expect changes in your environment, but mainly changes within your perspective. You will see things totally differently.

Scorpio is unique because it is ruled by not just one, but two planets: Mars and Pluto. Mars is about passion, fighting, and taking action. And Pluto is the underdog planet who everybody underestimates, but is capable of overpowering everyone.

With Mars influencing this season, expect a great amount of passion to come up to the surface. This is confident and straightforward energy, so you’ll be feeling incredibly motivated to go after what you want without hesitation. Everything is going to feel much more intense than usual. You are also going to be feeling more possessive and competitive.

And with Pluto influencing this season, you’ll be in total “detective mode.” This will be a time of confrontation, calling people out for their behavior, and cornering others into telling you the truth. Expect a lot of secrets to spill out. And addition, you will be more in tune with your subconscious — or shadow self — the part of you that you hide from your conscious mind and the world. This phenomenon is what’s going to trigger a deep transformation for you, as you become aware of the parts of yourself you need to work on.

Scorpio is a fixed sign, and so Scorpio season brings us more focus, determination, and perseverance. Your self-discipline will grow stronger and you’ll be thinking a lot about what you’d like to accomplish and how you can do it. However, try not to let yourself become too stubborn or close-minded.

Scorpio is a water sign, meaning that Scorpio season shines a spotlight on our emotions. Understand that everyone is feeling extra sensitive during this time, even though they may not show it.

Scorpio is the 8th number of the zodiac, meaning that Scorpio season will be bringing us the closing of old cycles and beginning of new ones. Our need to feel powerful and in control becomes prevalent. Also, money will be on our minds.

What to watch out for: Avoid getting into fights or arguments with others, as we are more likely to come into conflict. Try to avoid social gatherings in general, especially large gatherings, with many different personalities. Everyone is going to express a different viewpoint from one another. If you do somehow get pulled into a fight, place your focus on the spiritual lessons it brings, and how you can better yourself from this. Jealousy is high, so avoid bragging, or letting others become too involved in your personal life. Don’t try keeping secrets from anyone because it’s going to blow up in your face. And most of all, do not resist healthy changes.

What to embrace: Spend more time alone in deep introspection, as Scorpio is a “loner” sign. Observe your shadow self without judgment and see what you can learn from him/her. Use this time to propel forward with your goals or begin a rigid routine that requires strong self-discipline. If you’re taken, use this time to deepen your relationship with one another. Try new things you’ve never done before and push yourself out of your comfort zone. Enter a competition (just don’t be a sore loser or sore winner!) Get to know yourself better. Challenge yourself. Do a lot of research and learn new things. Watch a murder mystery.
