DAY 28: [BASTET] What brings you pleasure?

Bastet is the Egyptian cat goddess of wine and beer, fierceness, and pleasure.

Recently I am understanding just how much writing brings me pleasure. I know that I enjoy it obviously, but it is beyond enjoyment, it is pleasure. If I could lock myself in a room for days or weeks at a time, and have my meals delivered to me and all my chores taken care of, I would just spend the entire time writing. I have A LOT of passions, hobbies, and interest but I have concluded that writing trumps it all.

I am thankful for thé internet and a place I can share my writing with so widespread and easily. But I could still write offline, and I do still write in privacy. There’s plenty to write about and not have to share with everyone. When people read my writing and when they say they like it, it feels very good, but the pleasure is in writing itself and not necessarily the positive feedback.
