I’ll start with the good stuff. 😊

Last weekend, I had my cartilage pierced (a helix piercing). Julie and I got sister piercings while we were visiting cousin Scilla in Philly. Photo was taken the day of, so there’s some redness there which has now settled. It was a fun visit and I’m very happy with my new piercing!

And here’s a photo of some delicious Mexican food we got for dinner! I had tofu tacos and a margarita.

I’ve been learning how to crochet. I bought some of those Wooble kits, which teaches you how to make little animals. I made a fox. Definitely fumbled it a little, but I think, not bad for my first try. Can’t wait to make more crafts!

Kev and I went out for drinks a few weeks ago and they had the coolest drinks there. This one came with a bubble! Shortly after getting this pic, it popped!

We also did a hike recently and found this little turtle. So cute. He really wanted to take it home, but ended up setting it free.

Also, just celebrated my 9-year anniversary with this blog! Crazy how it’s been so long already! Already brainstorming how to celebrate the ten-year mark…!
And finally, in some less-happy news, I have been dealing with some health issues recently. I don’t want to go too into details — maybe I will in the future. I have some doctor appointments coming up, bloodwork next week and then some further testing in the following week.
Hopefully, I can figure out what’s going on, and from there I can resolve it. It’s possible that a lot of it comes from stress or at least is augmented by stress. I’ve been trying really hard to keep my stress levels down, and I really thought that I was feeling mentally better this spring. But of course, when things are going on with your health, it makes it that much harder to stay calm.
I suppose it’s a good thing that I am facing this and addressing my concerns. I’m scared of what the answer is — but probably more scared of not getting any answers at all. For now, I need to seriously prioritize keeping stress low.
