Daisy the Great in Philly

On Saturday night, I went into Philly to see Daisy the Great. I went with my cousin Priscilla. We got drinks and an early dinner beforehand with Manny. We also ran into two of her friends there, and went out with them for a late snack afterwards.

Daisy the Great is an indie band. You could call them folk-pop or folk-rock. It’s two women, and they also had a band playing. They are super talented at harmonizing with each other’s voices. It’s super impressive, the way that their voices so perfectly blend together. And seeing that live was incredible.

It was my first time at this venue, a much smaller venue than I expected, which made it more intimate. Their NYC show from the night before was a lot bigger. We were able to get super close to them!

I dyed my hair blue specifically because of this lyric in my favorite song of theirs, The Record Play Song. It goes, “dyed my hair blue, it came out a seasick sort of green.”

Really awesome band, definitely check them out if you have the chance! They just came out with a new album this summer and I’ve been playing it on repeat!
