Technically, Pluto first moved into Aquarius in 2023, but it went back and forth between Capricorn and Aquarius a few times, marking this as a transitionary period. However, starting mid November 2024, Pluto will be in Aquarius for good, until the year 2044.

Pluto, because it is the further planet in our solar system, takes the longest out of all the planets to transit. So when Pluto is in a zodiac sign, this period marks an entire era of history, as well as an entire generation of kids coming into the world.

The future is here

The zodiac sign Aquarius represents the future. In contrast, the sign of Capricorn represents the past. So, we are literally moving from the past into the future. That may sound a little too obvious, but from an astrological perspective, it’s extremely fitting.

We are going to see a huge upgrade in technology. You may think to yourself, “duh, technology is always getting bigger in time…” but the era of Capricorn from the year 2008 through 2024 saw a halt in technological progression. For example, the iPhone was invented in the summer of 2007, and not much has changed except that it’s gotten slightly larger.

Rather than the growth of technology, we saw the spread and steadiness of technology. There’s a major difference between the two. Technology became much more accessible — for example every adult has a smartphone, even those who are very poor, meanwhile in the year 2008, smartphones were seen as luxuries rather than necessities. Another example is how every school kid has a laptop or computer — because they need it for school.

The technological boom is going to be bigger than it was during the era of Sagittarius (which was from approximately 1996 to 2009 — think about how fast technological progression moved during this time period.) By the year 2044, we are going to have advances that our brains can’t even comprehend in the year 2024.

Much of this technology is going to be focused on AI — Artificial Intelligence. From 2023–2024, we already saw a preview of it, and it’s been wild. An example is the release of Chat GPT in late 2022. Most of the public does not fully understand how advanced the capabilities of Chat GPT is, but we are going to see this become mainstream very soon.

The wonders of AI advancement is going to be coupled with ethical dilemmas. Aquarius is ruled by the planet Uranus, which symbolizes “the mad scientist” who goes so deep into science that he loses touch with reality. We’re going to witness things from sci-fi movies, like perhaps consciousness being uploaded to robots.

Space exploration

We went to the moon in 1969 — and then things sort of paused. I predict that the era of Aquarius will bring back space travel and take it much further. There’s potential of landing on Mars, or bringing more people to the moon. Drones will get more accurate and clear photos/videos of our planets, galaxy, etc. There may be significant discoveries in space.

This is a very likely era for alien contact — or the public reveal of alien contact. There is a high probability of aliens existing, along with a chance that some of the countries on this planet have contact that is being kept under wraps. This may be the era in which this is revealed.

The last time that Pluto was in Aquarius, there was the discovery of Uranus in 1781. This is very fitting, as Uranus is the modern ruler of Aquarius. This planet represents innovation, change, and forward-thinking.

Socialism, freedom, individual rights

Aquarius represents community, but it also represents embracing your own uniqueness while supporting your social circle. This era will see politics shifting more into socialism. We will see more widespread and equal access to healthcare, education, and so forth.

We may see less of a gap between the rich and the poor in many countries. This is not to imply that the entire economic structure will collapse, but it will go through some serious deconstruction. I’m not saying that economic classes will vanish, but there will likely be a wider spread of the middle class, along with a decrease in the upper and lower class. Wealth may become more evenly distributed in many countries.

The last time that Pluto was in Aquarius was from 1778 to 1798, one of the most significant events being The French Revolution. This is when monarchy was demolished, power was returned to the people, and there was a fight for individual rights. We can definitely expect something similar to happen in several countries around the world.

Alongside, the previous era of Pluto in Aquarius also brought The American Revolutionary War, in which the US Americans became independent from the British, and the United States was established. The United States gave birth as a country with no monarchy, a declaration of rights for personal freedoms, and a federal system of checks and balances that prevented dictatorship. The freedom to practice your own religion, and to separate religion from government, was an extremely revolutionary concept of the time.

However, this was also the time in which The Reign of Terror took place in France, in the aftermath of the French Revolution. Many people were killed and tutored out of fear that they did not support ending the monarchy. This is a warning sign that if you do not go along with the changes that your country is embracing, you may face extreme and drastic prosecution.

Downfall of Hollywood

I’m predicting a downfall of Hollywood, whether that happens on a micro or macro scale. It could happen subtly or very obviously, but it will happen. The prior era of Pluto in Aquarius during 1778 to 1798 saw the fall of monarchy, but in the modern day when monarchy is nonexistent and only symbolic, our new version of royalty is Hollywood.

We have begun to see a preview of the downfall of Hollywood. Most notably, during the transitional period 2023–2024, we saw the scandal of Diddy come to light. In the next several months, more information is going to come out, and we are going to see a long list of celebrities who are connected to this. There will be many more scandals coming to light.

Many celebrities are going to lose power and influence. The same way that people stopped worshipping kings and queens, they will stop seeing celebrities as idols, and more so as regular people. It’s not like Hollywood will completely fall apart, but its influence will become much weaker on the people.

Alternative healing

Aquarius is the sign of hope and healing; it’s also the sign of ‘thinking outside of the box’ and breaking away from societal norms. There will be a great focus on healing during this era — but in very nonconventional ways. We will see a rise in practices such as reiki, herbalism, homeopathy, ASMR, and so forth.

Medicine will likely become more accessible, but I see more of an emphasis on herbs and supplements over pharmaceuticals. There will be more of a focus on the “social aspect” of healing — for example the importance of friends and family, the importance of touch and hugging, the importance of communicating your health journeys with one another.

There will be a rise in social experiments and human studies. Many people will be more willing to be “tested on” in order to bring research to the community. We could see more opportunities for signing up and volunteering for human trials. These human trials will bring medical breakthroughs.

This is an era that will be highly focused on science and technology. Not only will there be some incredible medical breakthroughs, but also an expansion into space, along with an unbelievable advancement in AI. Politically, we may see more socialism and individual rights, coupled with less of a gap between the rich and the poor.

Just like the last era of Pluto in Aquarius saw the downfall of monarchy, we will likely see the downfall of Hollywood — which has become the modern day version of monarchy. Authority figures will have less influence as this power is distributed more equally among the people.

Hope and healing will play a huge theme in this era — but this is not to say that everything will be perfect and wholesome. We must be careful that we do not let science ruin our ethics, or let logic overpower emotion. Society may become so open-minded and change-driven, to the point of tormenting and outcasting those who resist it.
