They’re all trying to block out the noise

of all of the things that they’re feeling.

What’s gonna haunt me more?

The things I never did, or the things I’ve done?

What’s gonna haunt me more?

Hiding in shelter, or a life on the run?

No one wants to say what they mean

No one wants to say how they feel

Someone just wants you thinking

all you know is not even real.

What’s gonna haunt me more?

Things that I try, or the things I never would?

What’s gonna haunt me more?

Knowing that I can, or knowing that I never could?

I learned the nature of life.

I learned the nature of people.

It all comes down to identifying

the lesser of two evils.
