Tarot 101 | Major Arcana | Tarot Card Meanings

The Fool

Astrology: Aries

Numerology: zero / infinity

Timing: childhood / spring

Gender: masculine

Keywords: beginning, new, taking a risk, leap of faith, trying something new, taking the first step, the unknown, youthfulness, blind optimism, lack of experience.

Meaning: The Fool is the very first card in the deck of tarot. It’s not “one,” it’s “zero.” Simultaneously, the Fool is also the last card in the deck of tarot. Really, it can fit into any order in the deck because it has no order. It can be compared to “the joker” in traditional playing cards.

The Fool is all about embarking on a new chapter. This card appears when you are trying something new for the first time and taking a leap of faith. And you’re not looking before you leap — you’re just going for it! This shows excitement and faith in the future. It can also show naiveness, inexperience, and not knowing what to expect. But you don’t care about being judged, you’re paying no attention to that.

Reverse: This shows a little bit of hesitancy and caution, despite choosing to go forth. This can also mean “restarting” the same chapter but doing things differently this time. Or, it can indicate ignorance and stupidity.

My version: In my tarot design, I thought that a jack-in-the-box would be sufficient to represent the fool. It’s a children’s toy with a literal spring that connects to the season of spring. It’s unpredictable and silly; it doesn’t take itself too seriously. It makes people laugh. It’s a wildcard.

The Magician

Astrology: Gemini and Virgo

Numerology: 1

Timing: very soon

Gender: masculine

Keywords: manifestation, witchcraft, power, control, goal setting, making a wish, mediumship, communication, setting intention, the four elements, magic.

Meaning: The Magician is about having a wish and taking action to make it happen. It’s a very favorable card because it pops up in a reading when things are going your way, or about to go your way. It shows being in control and pursuing your happiness. It can also represent communicating with the spirit world.

Reverse: This can mean that things are going your way, just not necessarily according to plan. It’s still a positive card to see in reverse, but it may not appear that way on the surface. It can mean “be careful what you wish for.” Or, this can mean underestimating your power and not realizing how much control you actually have.

My version: The original design includes all four elements (wands, pentacles, sword, chalice) so I wanted to include that. The wand as fire, the potion as water, the crystals as earth, and the spells as air. I like how the original artwork shows that you need to work with all four elements in order to make the magic happen.

The High Priestess

Astrology: Pisces

Numerology: 2

Timing: elderly / winter

Gender: feminine

Keywords: spirituality, religion, prayer, listening, passiveness, surrender, intuition, divine feminine, tarot, divination, religious studies, secrecy, silence, receptivity.

Meaning: The High Priestess represents the divine feminine. It is perhaps the most spiritual card of the entire deck. The High Priestess shuts out the outside world and isolates in order to devote herself to religious studies.

In everyday life, this can represent stepping away from distractions in order to focus more on spiritual matters. It can also symbolize embracing feminine energy (despite your gender) — that means being more passive, receptive, quiet, submissive, intuitive, etc. rather than overly dominating and controlling. This can show someone who uses tarot or other forms of divination to predict the future, read minds, or feel energies. This means using your intuition and feelings rather than logic — it’s an inner knowing. Seeing this card pop up in your reading assures that you can trust your gut.

Reverse: When the High Priestess turns reverse, she is spilling her secrets. This can show someone who has been through a long period of seclusion who is now ready to come out of their shell, enter the world again, and become more outgoing. She has taken the time to listen and now she is ready to respond. On the contrary, it can also represent having trouble balancing your feminine energy, unable to trust your intuition, and struggling to be a good listener.

My version: I emphasized the angelic aspect of the High Priestess by making her an actual angel. This also shows how she is a messenger of God or messenger of the Universe. Another thing I emphasized was divination tools including crystal ball, ouija, and tarot. She has her eyes closed because she is listening and feeling, rather than looking outwards.

The Empress

Astrology: Taurus and Libra

Numerology: 3

Timing: fertile years of womanhood

Gender: feminine

Keywords: feminine, fertility, pregnancy, birth, creation, imagination, abundance, pleasure, love and romance, gardening, harvesting, attraction, motherhood, softness, nature, growth.

Meaning: While both the High Priestess and the Empress symbolize the divine feminine, the major difference is that the Empress is more connected to the material world. In contrast, the High Priestess rejects the material world and can be compared to a nun. The Empress on the other hand embraces the material world and represents the pregnant mother.

While the Empress is passive, submissive, and receptive — she is also an active creator. In the literal sense, she is creating life through pregnancy. But in a more symbolic sense, she is creative some sort of project, giving birth to her ideas. Perhaps she is opening up her own business, or making art, or starting an herb garden. This card symbolizes fertility, and not strictly in the sense of pregnancy, but in the sense of fertile ground that’s ripe with opportunities. When this card appears in your reading, it means that you are creating something. In many cases too, it can have a romantic component, showing that someone is very attracted to you.

Reverse: This shows creative blockages. You may be working on a creative endeavor but struggling to come up with enough ideas. There could be a lack of inspiration. On the other hand, it could show a secret attraction, or feeling unaware of your own beauty. The advice here is to embrace your feminine energy (despite your gender.)

My version: I wanted this card to be as girly as possible. I see the High Priestess as the mature woman and then the Empress as the young girl. She does not hide herself completely; but she makes things happen by attracting rather than chasing. And she is most certainly in love.

The Emperor

Astrology: Aries

Numerology: 4

Timing: elderly

Gender: masculine

Keywords: masculine, control, dominance, protection, stability, rules, structure, father, grandfather, leader, authority, boss, discipline, stubbornness, determination.

Meaning: The Emperor is the opposite of the Empress. He is the divine masculine. He needs to be in control, he sets rules and boundaries, and can be overly dominating. He does not go with the flow whatsoever; he has a strict set of guidelines that he lives by. He is very powerful.

Seeing this card in a reading shows that you are exercising self-discipline. You have a firm foundation. Things are going smoothly and there are no sudden surprises in store. You can expect to remain in power for a long time. This can also symbolize a masculine figure in your life, perhaps your father or grandfather, or it can be your boss, or your partner or close friend — this person wants to protect you and you may not realize how deeply they care about you. The Emperor hides his emotions because he wants everyone to feel safe and steady.

Reverse: This shows toxic masculinity. This brings out all of the negative traits of the masculine: abuse of power, taking advantage, ignoring emotions completely, relying too heavily on logic, etc. It can also show hotheadedness and anger. This may represent yourself OR it may represent someone in your life who displays these traits.

My version: I see this card as a solider in the military; I think that really sums up the amount of discipline and sense of order that the Emperor has. Most importantly, it shows remaining strong and steady in times of chaos. I also wanted to include the ram which is found in the original artwork. This is important to make the connection to Aries, as well as stubbornness and other traits of the ram. The Emperor stops at nothing and charges headfirst into battle.

The Hierophant

Astrology: Taurus

Numerology: 5

Timing: elderly / long time

Gender: masculine

Keywords: religion, marriage, partnership, commitment, church, promises, loyalty, authority, rules, discipline, control, tradition, formal education.

Meaning: The Hierophant is the term for priest used in ancient Greece. Essentially, you can think of this card as “the priest.” This card is very much connected to religion. That could mean becoming more religious, getting more involved in your church, meeting a guru or spiritual guide, etc.

This card is about dedicating yourself — either to your partner, to your church/community, or to a specific lifestyle/way of living. This indicates self-discipline and self-control. This is about thinking in the longterm rather than the short term. Alongside, this is all about tradition — doing things the traditional way, following the old ways, carrying on family traditions, etc.

This is a really positive card to see in a romantic reading because it shows likelihood of marriage, loyalty, and commitment. It can assure you that your partner is serious about you.

Reverse: This may indicate struggle with commitment, loyalty, following through with your promises. It can be about quitting or breaking the rules. This could also be about doing things non-traditionally, some examples: dropping out of school to start your own business, quitting a corporate job to work independently, a polyamorous relationship, an alternative lifestyle.

My version: My design is quite similar to the original artwork. I wanted to emphasize the religious aspect, including a priest and a church.

The Lovers

Astrology: Gemini

Numerology: 6

Timing: whenever you want.

Gender: feminine

Keywords: love, romance, partnership, desire, attraction, harmony, unity, choice, decision.

Meaning: The Lovers is obviously about love! The type of love it represents is two people who make the choice to be together every day. But it also implies a higher force that brings the two people together. In a romantic reading, of course, this is exactly the card that you want to see. This is two people who are completely in love with each other on a very deep level. There is equal give and take. It’s a partnership with perfect balance.

Surprisingly, there is another meaning outside of romance. This can also be about decision making. This card shows that you are making a choice. It represents ability to balance between the head and the heart in order to do what’s right.

Reverse: In a romantic reading, it can show a slight imbalance in your partnership. It may also show inclination towards lust. But I believe that even in reverse, it’s still positive, and shows that the connection is there despite imperfections and flaws. This can also mean that you are too indecisive and struggling to choose. You may be relying too heavily on your head, or too much on your heart, instead of balancing the two.

My version: Of course I wanted to show two people in love. I also made sure to include, like the original artwork, the angel pulling them together. This is important to show that two people are brought together by a third higher power.

The Chariot

Astrology: Cancer

Numerology: 7

Timing: soon

Gender: masculine

Keywords: control, moving forward, traveling, driving, roadtrip, steering the wheel, calling the shots, deciding where to go from here.

Meaning: This is about taking control and moving ahead. Specifically, it can mean driving, traveling, going on vacation, or moving homes. This card appears when you are ready to move forward and make big changes in your life. While there is a sense of newness, there is also a sense of reliability and comfort, because you are the one who is in control. Unlike the Fool who jumps without knowing where he will land, the Chariot has a GPS. The Chariot shows that there is a plan. This can also be about having your way and getting what you want.

Reverse: There may be car problems or issues with travel — this can be your warning sign to double check your tires, get to the airport early, double check your tickets, etc. Or, this may be about feeling out of control and not fully ready to move on. You may feel like you are being forced to move on from something that you’re not ready to let go of.

My version: Instead of an actual chariot, I have a pirate ship. The water represents the astrology connection to Cancer which is a water sign. And pirates, just because pirates are cool! Also, the pirate swords symbolize the cutting off aspect of moving on.

Strength

Astrology: Leo

Numerology: 8

Timing: summer

Gender: feminine

Keywords: power, discipline, balance, joy, harmony, trust, faith, taming your wild side.

Meaning: This is about finding balance between your animal instincts and your higher self. The lion is your anger, impulsivity, hunger, drive, and physical parts of yourself. The woman is your intelligence, consciousness, spirituality, morality, etc. In the original artwork, the woman is technically an angel because she has a halo. So the higher self is not human, it is the part of you that comes from Heaven — while the lion comes from Earth. And the halo is purposefully in the shape of a figure-eight to symbolize balance.

This card appears when you are using your strength to balance these two sides of yourself. It’s an important reminder that you do not have to completely suppress your animal instincts in order to be a spiritual being. You understand how to tame your wild side — without feeling any shame or fear towards it.

Reverse: This shows imbalance between the lion and the angel inside of you. You might be feeling ashamed of your animal instincts and suppressing that in unhealthy ways. Or, the opposite, you may be acting too wild and not controlling yourself enough. Sometimes, seeing this in reverse can be very positive, because it can show breaking out of your shell and being less shy and reserved.

My version: My card has the lion and the woman dancing. In the original, the woman (angel) is holding the lion by its teeth which is a great way to show the trust and restraint of the animal. But I like how they are dancing in my version, this shows even more joy and positivity that the card represents.

The Hermit

Astrology: Virgo

Numerology: 9

Timing: elderly / winter / pause

Gender: feminine

Keywords: alone, seclusion, isolation, withdraw, spirit quest, introspection, introversion, deep thinking, intuition, independence.

Meaning: This card is about following your own light. The Hermit isolates himself in seclusion because he wants to block out the noise of the outside world. It shows that you are trusting your intuition rather than doing what you’re told. This resembles going within to do some deep thinking and pondering.

Reverse: This could indicate that after a long period of being alone, you’re now entering the world again and becoming more social. This can show that your time of being a hermit has come to an end. On the other hand, it may bring out more negative aspects of loneliness, like struggling to be on your own and having codependency. Maybe you are pushing people away and refusing to let down your wall because of trust issues.

My version: I felt like a vampire is very symbolic of The Hermit. He is afraid of people and only comes out at night.

Wheel of Fortune

Astrology: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius

Numerology: 10 / 1

Timing: very soon

Gender: neutral

Keywords: good luck, money, happiness, positivity, gifts, presents, abundance.

Meaning: This is very lucky to receive in a reading. The Wheel Of Fortune brings great fortune — that can be through money and gifts or it can be internally through happiness and satisfaction. This means that good things are coming very soon, if not already. You can also expect a lot of change, but this is all good changes that will make your life better.

Reverse: This is still a positive card in reverse, it just may come with some hesitancy or confusion. This can be about a lot of unexpected changes happening out of nowhere, which makes you feel out of control, but it’s all for the better. This can mean getting what you want — just not the way that you planned.

My version: I was sure to include the four figures that you see on the original artwork. It’s also clear that this card is heavily inspired by ancient Egypt, so I wanted to emphasize that as well.

Justice

Astrology: Libra

Numerology: 11 / 2

Timing: autumn / adulthood

Gender: neutral

Keywords: righteousness, court and law, politics, marriage, justice system, underdog, equality, fairness, karma.

Meaning: When Justice appears, it’s time for actions to face their consequences. This can be a favorable card if you have been through a situation recently in which you’ve been wronged. This can assure you that the scales will be balanced. It can only be a negative sign if you have been going against your conscience and doing bad things — this means that you will suffer those consequences soon. If you’re in a legal battle, this card appears upright as a sign that the ruling will likely go in your favor.

Reverse: This comes up when you are feeling a lack of justice. You could have been wronged recently; this card shows that unfairness in the situation. It can possibly indicate bad karma coming your way. Or simply, it could mean that things are unbalanced right now — you are working too hard, or playing too hard, or doing something too extremely.

My version: This design is quite similar to the original artwork in which there is a judge and a courtroom.

The Hanged Man

Astrology: Pisces

Numerology: 12 / 3

Timing: undetermined

Gender: neutral

Keywords: waiting, surrender, enlightenment, peace, perspective, passiveness, acceptance.

Meaning: It’s about shifting your perspective and seeing life from a different angle. This card appears when you are letting go and surrendering to what you cannot control. This can pop up in a reading as a message to sit back and wait. In situations when we are completely powerless, and there is absolutely nothing we can do, there is always one thing that we do have control over — our perspective. We can choose how we react, how we perceive, and how we think. And this is the path to enlightenment.

Reverse: This has a similar meaning, but with less passivity. This can indicate that you’ve been waiting for a while and now you’re ready to take action and do something. It can also show the moment of enlightenment that has been reached. In some cases, it may mean struggling to let go.

My version: Instead of an actual man hanging, I have a woman in a yoga pose. This feels like a very yogic card to me.

Death

Astrology: Scorpio

Numerology: 13 / 4

Timing: autumn / rebirth

Gender: neutral

Keywords: rebirth, transformation, new beginning, letting go, starting over, changes, intensity, power.

Meaning: The Death card is not scary, it’s just really intense and powerful! But it doesn’t have the negative connotation that modern western society carries. Death is not the end, it’s only the beginning. Life is a series of cycles and death is just an illusion. A part of you is gone but something new is coming ahead. This card shows that there is a lot of intense changes happening, or soon to happen. Life will never be the same. This card is a blessing for those who have been feeling stuck in routine, lost and directionless. It shows that your soul is ready for something brand new. But in order to find the new, you must destroy what no longer serves you. You may have to burn some bridges.

Reverse: This takes away some of the intensity, yet still shows many changes coming ahead. This can mean starting something new that you’re already familiar with. It takes away some of the unknowns. This can also be someone returning from your past, like someone is “back from the dead.”

My version: The original features the grim reaper, I went with Osiris, Egyptian god of the dead. I wanted to emphasize the Egyptian mythology. The ancient Egyptians spent their entire lives preparing for death. In modern western culture, we pretend that it doesn’t exist and avoid the subject until it inevitably comes up as a rude awakening. The Egyptians understood that death was something that they needed to prepare for. They did not fear it, but they did revere it with great respect. I added the pyramids, the lotus, and the scarab to the card as sacred symbols from the ancient Egyptians.

Temperance

Astrology: Sagittarius

Numerology: 14 / 5

Timing: God’s timing

Gender: feminine

Keywords: angels, spiritual guidance, divine protection, fate, destiny, experimental, testing the waters, balance.

Meaning: The word itself “temperance” means to practice self-restraint or to abstain from alcohol. It carries religious and spiritual connotations. This card has many similarities with Strength. It’s about balancing your material desires with your sense of morality. This card pops up in a reading as a message that you are being guided and protected by your angels. It means that you are able to connect with them at this time and really listen to these voices. This card can also be about testing the waters and trying something new — but with absolute caution and skepticism.

Reverse: This shows a lack of balance. You may be jumping into something too quickly. You may be struggling to listen to your angels and trust their guidance. And you may doubt your intuition. This could also be you “shaking things up” and making a splash — sometimes that’s a good thing!

My version: I did not include the angel holding two cups and pouring water back and forth — I think this is important to add to the message. I didn’t exclude this on purpose. But I believe the most important part is to emphasize the angel. Many tarot readers see this card and do not place enough focus on the spiritual aspect.

The Devil

Astrology: Capricorn

Numerology: 15 / 6

Timing: young adult / endless cycle

Gender: neutral

Keywords: habits, routine, addiction, pleasure, lust, money, work, career, shopping, drugs, alcohol, codependency, partnership, obsession, fixation.

Meaning: Oh boy! This card comes with a lot of baggage and there’s a lot to unpack here. First, the Devil is not necessarily a bad card at all! It has a lot of potential to be bad, but it can also be a good thing. So, the devil represents all earthly and material pleasures, as well as addictions and endless cycles. In tarot, the devil does not represent the Christian devil that most of us automatically think of. It is not an entity, or god, or evil spirit. The devil may represent: food, clothing, money, coffee, alcohol, drugs, physical affection, television, cell phones, jewelry, etc. These things can bring joy, however they come with the potential to be abused.

In terms of romance, this can show two people who are chained to one another. This may indicate codependency. It can show that someone is obsessed with you — and in romantic readings that tends to be exactly what you want to hear. This is also about routine, habits, and addictions — it can be a message that you are not ready to accept change. Lastly, this card can show that you are having a lot of fun! You are indulging in things — like ice cream, shopping sprees, sex, cocktails, etc. — without any shame or judgment! While we are here on earth, we deserve access to these pleasures.

Reverse: This can be split into two meanings when appearing reverse: one meaning is that it may bring out the negative sides of the card. It can show a toxic relationship or toxic habits. It may indicate that you are indulging too much and your addiction is hurting you. Another perspective is that you are working too hard, you are too focused on money.

The second meaning could be the total opposite: that you are breaking away from addiction. I personally prefer this meaning in my readings. This can be quitting smoking, cutting back on alcohol, leaving a toxic relationship, etc.

My version: I really enjoyed making this modern interpretation. Original artwork looks similar to the Lover card: two people united by a higher force. Except, that higher force is a scary goat-looking monster, which I converted into a vixen. I added pills and beer. I also included a reverse pentagram, which symbolizes prioritizing earthly matters over the spirit.

The Tower

Astrology: Scorpio

Numerology: 16 / 7

Timing: autumn / when you least expect it

Gender: neutral

Keywords: sudden change, shock, ending, destruction, fated events.

Meaning: This card signals you to expect the unexpected. It means that shocking change is coming. It could indicate a sudden ending. While the Death card shows the transition of rebirth, the Tower is less of a “transition” and more of an “event.” It’s something so sudden that you don’t even have time to process all of the changes.

A lot of people fear this card and I understand. We jump to worst conclusions and assume something like an accident, an injury, or quite literally a building catching on fire. I personally am always excited to see this card because I hope for the best — winning a raffle, love at first sight, a happy surprise! When you’re feeling stuck in routine, this is a great card to see, because it means that things are finally about to get interesting!

Reverse: This softens the intensity of the card. It can be sudden change, but something that you were almost expecting. In contrary, it can also be about rebuilding something and picking up the pieces. If you recently went through hardship, it can be a positive sign that things will come back together soon.

My version: My design is nearly identical to the original. I just didn’t include people falling out of the building, which makes it a little less morbid…

The Star

Astrology: Aquarius

Numerology: 17 / 8

Timing: youth

Gender: feminine

Keywords: wish coming true, optimism, hope, faith, healing.

Meaning: Seeing this card in a reading shows that there is a wish coming true and you are on a healing path. It’s very positive to see. It indicates hope and remaining positive. This often appears after you have gone through a destructive time, in which you could’ve lost everything, but now you are seeing the light.

Reverse: There is still positivity here but you may not be able to fully see it. You could feel frustrated that your wish has not come true and things aren’t going your way. Rest assured that there is still hope even though you can’t see it.

My version: I replaced the naked lady bathing in water with a little girl. This very much makes me think of Disney’s “when you wish upon a star” and that optimism and wonder that little girls have.

The Moon

Astrology: Cancer

Numerology: 18 / 9

Timing: night, full moon, new moon

Gender: feminine

Keywords: spirituality, secrecy, privacy, seclusion, illusions, delusions, fantasy, imagination, creativity, reception, passivity, alone, quiet, introspective, feelings, confusion, divine feminine.

Meaning: Think about the night — a wolf howling at the moon. This is about turning inwards, going within, and deep thinking. It’s also about illusions and fantasies. Think of the full moon — how it can make people go crazy. The moon can make us paranoid, wacky, and wild. The moon inclines us towards feelings, emotions, and intuition over logic and rationale. Sometimes our feelings can tell us the truth when there’s more than what meet’s the eye. Other times, our feelings can deceive us and cause delusional thinking. Is it possible that feelings can be right and wrong at the same time?

This card comes up when you are dealing with secrets. There could also be some strange behavior going on around you. When you see this in reading, question everything.

Reverse: One interpretation is that the upright meaning represents the full moon while the reverse meaning represents the new moon. In that case, this would be about revealing secrets, setting intentions, and starting over. This can bring clearheadedness. If the full moon (upright) means illusions, then the new moon (reverse) means truth.

Other readers take the reverse meaning as a way of bringing about more negative connotations of this card. For example, emphasizing delusions, confusion, and secret-keeping. I personally do not prefer to use this interpretation.

My version: This is similar to the original artwork, just simplified. I believe that the original has a wolf, a dog, and a scorpion instead of one wolf.

The Sun

Astrology: Leo

Numerology: 19 / 1

Timing: newborn / childhood / summer

Gender: masculine

Keywords: happy, optimism, positivity, joy, youth, baby, pleasure, creativity, music, dance, fun.

Meaning: This is the happiest card in the deck! You can expect nothing but good things when this card pops up in your reading. This brings joy and a childlike sense of hope and optimism. In some cases it may indicate pregnancy, childbirth, or children in general.

Reverse: This card is still very positive, even in reverse. There is not much of a difference to see this card reverse. Possibly, you could be suppressing your happiness, or questioning if you are worthy of happiness. This may be your sign to lighten up a little more and to not be so serious.

My version: The same, but simplified. The original includes a naked baby riding a horse and waving a flag.

Judgment

Astrology: Sagittarius

Numerology: 20 / 2

Timing: God’s timing

Gender: neutral

Keywords: reflection, decision making, contemplation, angels, Heaven, mediumship, morality, karma.

Meaning: This represents the moment after death when the soul is judged by God to determine their fate of the afterlife. When this card appears, you may be contemplating on recent choices you’ve made, questioning if they were right or wrong. This shows that you have a strong conscience and are aware of the impact of your behaviors. It also shows connection with angels and spirits. This card encourages you to make moral decisions. It can also appear when you are being rewarded for good karma.

Reverse: You may be doubting your abilities and judging yourself. It’s likely that this is all in your head and you simply need to trust more. This can also indicate someone returning from your past. Or just when you thought that you were wrapping up a chapter and moving on, the past comes back — you cannot escape it.

My version: The original artwork shows an angel with a trumpet gathering people lifting their hands to the sky in repentance. This is a Christianized version, but I wanted to go with the ancient Egyptian version. The dog head symbolized Anubis, god of the dead. In the myth, after you die, Anubis weighs your heart against a feather. If your heart is lighter than a feather, then you go onto a fortunate afterlife. Ask yourself if your heart is lighter than a feather, or if it’s weighed down by bitterness, grudges, deception, secrets, and anger.

The World

Astrology: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

Numerology: 21 / 3

Timing: endings

Gender: neutral

Keywords: closure, satisfaction, abundance, money, gifts, growth, completion.

Meaning: This is the final card in the major arcana. This represents the end. But this is a very positive “happily ever after” type of ending. You’ve completed your adventure and now it’s time for something else. This also brings abundance in forms of money, presents, and material possessions. It’s very fortunate. Seeing this card in a reading signifies that you will soon feel a sense of closure and satisfaction — and your finances are looking good. All’s well that ends well.

Reverse: This is still very positive. But it shows that something that you think is over is still not quite over. There could also be some questions and confusion that needs to be resolved before you can fully move forward. It can also showing someone from your past returning.

My version: I chose a book because it truly represents “the end of a chapter.” Although this is not so much an end of a chapter, but an end of an entire book.
