Recipe: Sweet & sour tofu bites

Sweet & sour tofu bites are quick, easy, and simple to make.

All you need is a frying pan, oil, tofu, salt, pepper, and any other desired seasoning. This versatile dish can be eaten on its own as a snack or meal, or added as a side dish to rice, vegetables, and so on. This serving size is good for 2-3 people as a meal, and up to 5 people as a snack or side dish.

First, strain one block of extra firm tofu and chop into pieces on a cutting board. I like to do little triangles, but you can make it into any shape you want. And it doesn’t have to be perfect; mine were all totally lopsided.

Add oil to your frying pan (I used avocado oil) and on medium to low heat, place tofu pieces on your pan.

Next, drizzle with soy sauce. Then, add salt and pepper. I also added garlic — you can add anything else you like in addition.

Gently push around the tofu with a spatula, occasionally flipping, for no longer than a few minutes.

After you finish frying, place a piece of paper towel over your plate, so that it can soak up the excess oil.

And viola! This is super tasty, enjoy!
