There’s no reason to leave the house. I open the curtains to see pouring rain, dark clouds, lightning and thunder. It’s late morning, but the stormy weather makes it look like it’s the evening.
I draw the curtains, but leave a slight opening for a little bit of sunlight to come in. I light many candles until the entire home smells like vanilla and roses.
And then, I lay in bed for a while. It feels so warm underneath all the many layers of covers. I watch a movie, I play music, read some books, and do some journaling. I drink many cups of scorching hot herbal tea with honey. For my meals, I do some light and simple cooking.
At the end of the day, I take a really nice bath. I turn off the lights and turn on my Himalayan salt lamp. In the bath water, I add Epsom salt, rose petals, and a drop of lavender essential oil. The water is as warm as a hot tub. I play ambient music with nature sounds. It’s extremely soothing and relaxing.
