Description:

The Ancient Romans worshiped their gods and goddesses. They had many temples devoted to specific deities. There were frequent religious festivals that consisted of music, dancing, and a lot of wine. Psychedelic plants were used as portals to connect with the spirit world. Priests and priestesses had more power and respect than the politicians.

Flora comes from a broken past: she lost her mom when she was a kid, her dad remarried and had two more daughters, and at age seventeen she ran away from home and sold her body to sustain herself. In her early twenties, Jupiter came to her in a dream and ordered her to return home. A few months later, her dad became ill and soon passed away. Flora interpreted this as a sign of Jupiter looking out for her, allowing her to have that time with her dad before his sickness.

On a summer night, Flora visits the Temple of Jupiter in order to seek spiritual guidance. Here, is where she meets Father Atticus, the Priest of Jupiter. He becomes her spiritual mentor, and very soon, their relationship turns romantic. But this is a romance that comes with many complications. Flora navigates through a spiritual journey in which she must determine if Atticus is abusing his power over her, or if this truly is a divine connection.
