I’m getting back into kombucha again. I had my own batch going a few years ago but I didn’t keep up with it and stopped. Hoping this time around goes better!

I also set up my aero garden again, now that I’m settled into my new place. Can’t wait to watch these herbs sprout!

I lost the plastic part so I’m using a piece of cardboard for now. I think I threw it out as I was moving in because I didn’t realize what it was! I contacted aero garden and hopefully they can send me a replacement part…

I began making a homemade cough syrup which is really simple, it’s just garlic cloves and honey. I’ll have to wait about a month for it to steep now.

And then my proudest craft is that I made fire cider. I’ll have to also let this one sit for a month and then strain and combine honey. I love fire cider and have been wanting to make my own for a while. It was a little more difficult because I’m not used to working with fresh ginger and onion. Hopefully I peeled everything correctly. The concoction also has garlic, cayenne pepper, and apple cider vinegar.
Next on my list is making my own salve and lip balm once I get the materials together. And there’s also a cleaning spray that I want to make.
I love herbal crafting and I only wish that I did it more often. It’s a really good feeling to make something yourself and watch it turn into a final product. The best part is taking in all the wonderful smells of the spices and plants.
