Personal updates

Little blog update

So I have written before about social media cutback, and I’d like to touch on that again. I’m proud to say that I’m still off Facebook and really have no urge to ever go back. But I did make a new Instagram account last summer. A lot of my friends and family use it so it is a good way to stay in touch. It also makes for a good space to keep my photos and it has a nice editor. So I don’t think I’ll be deleting it again. But I feel like I am getting sucked back into that social media hole, and since this is still a brand new account I really don’t have as many *likes* and *followers* that I used to have, it’s kind of bothering me, which is so ridiculous. I don’t like to be the kind of person who worries about that shallow stuff but unfortunately I am only human and I think anyone else can relate. This is what happens when you get wrapped up into social media, you start thinking too much about appearance and popularity, the kind of things I despise. I don’t want to be that type of person. Too much social media distracts us from the present moment, makes us stress over things that are too trivial to waste precious time on. I won’t be deleting my account but I really want to take a step back for a while so I can get my head right again.

I made a new page for my website: the gallery. You can click on the link or you can find it on the top menu. Some people have told me they like my profile photos and that makes me very happy! So I made a space to put them all together. I like doing photoshoots and it’s nice to have a place to keep them, where I don’t have to worry about likes and followers and stuff.

Speaking of followers, this blog has almost reached 100 followers, which I’m kind of excited about. Thanks for everyone who reads and supports me!!! Please don’t hesitate to send me any comments or feedback! Please let me know what you want to see more of! I am open-minded and always looking for new ideas!

P.S. new 30-day challenge coming tomorrow.
