This week, I went on vacation with my sister to the Woodloch Pines resort in PA. It was a lot of fun and also very relaxing. I have been here on many family vacations during my childhood, also came once with my friend Mary, then another time with a group of friends for my sweet sixteen. I have not been back since, so it was a warm and welcome return!
On Monday, we checked in during the evening and got ready for dinner. My sister said I had an “80s look.” 🙂
For dinner, I had cheese tortellini with alfredo sauce and a garlic roll. So yummy!
On Tuesday morning, we ate a breakfast of champions. Woodloch never fails to serve monster meals with several courses. I had fruit, juice, tea, coffee cake, and waffles. We passed on the additional cereal.
After breaky, we did a yoga class. That was followed by winter festivities: snow tubing and ice skating. We also did some archery!
After all that running around we treated ourselves to a little rest at the coffee shop, where we read our books and snacked with a lovely view.
Later in the evening we did some bingo & beer. (No wins for us, sadly!)
We did some more exploring around — checked out the arcade and shot some hoops at the basketball court. We ended the night with a relaxing dip in the hot tub.
Our hotel room was so nice — we got lucky and scored a suite. It came with a balcony that has a spectacular view.
By Wednesday, we were pretty sore and worn out, so we took it easy.
Wednesday night was “theme night” and the theme was the 90s. We had cocktails with dinner and then we went to the show right afterwards. They sang & danced to all the popular 90s music.
It was such a lovely vacation. Thank you so much Mom & Dad for making this possible. I enjoyed myself so much and it was great to catch up with my sister. My sister and I have always been very different people, with polar opposite personalities. But I love her and we can appreciate each other’s uniqueness. It is sad to come to the end of our trip. Although, I was also missing something and I am ready to be home again. Xoxo
You’re Welcome! I’m glad you had a good time. It looks like you made the most of your time at Woodloch!
