Venus has been very anxious, adjusting to a new home. Then again, Venus always seems to be anxious. I thought a new cat tree might make her feel better.
Her old tree was falling apart so I threw it out, didn’t even bother moving it over. This new tree is MUCH BIGGER! It’s definitely an upgrade!
I ordered this from Amazon and put it together myself. I was surprised at how successful I was. No toolbox needed, I thought the instructions were very straight forward. However I did have a lot of trouble putting the latter together, which was the final step, so I sort of gave up on that — but you can’t even tell right?
My only complaints: it’s not very sturdy which may or may not be my fault, I mean I screwed each part as tight as possible so I think it’s the tree. Also it’s clearly meant for a tiny kitten, the hammock at the bottom and the perch that sticks out can only really hold up to a few pounds or so. And my curvy grown lady is at least 15. This also makes it harder to climb, I haven’t really seen her try, I think she’s just scared because she’s an overly cautious shy kitty. Right now I have to grab her myself and put her on it. Hope she warms up to it soon. So far she loves the scratching post.

Wow, such a lovely place to live in. Your cat must be very fond of you. I wish everyone treated their cats or dogs in a similar way. I find so many people who do not seem to care and some even throw away their pets when he or she gets old and is near to dying. I want to have my own little kitten someday.

Cute cat, nice tree. I feel a bit of a crap cat dad with no cat tree for my little dude, although he has the run of the entire place.

Well, it looks like she got some good back rubs from the platform, at least! 😄 That’s too bad that it’s designed more for kittens. Adult cats need good trees too!

Venus looks so cute, not anxious at all. Loved the videos of her on her new tree. So I take it you have moved. Glad Venus (and you) are adjusting.
