How I celebrated the summer solstice

Last week was the summer solstice, also known as Litha. Honoring the quarter points of the year is important for feeling more in tune with nature, grounding yourself, and being aware of your environment. It’s so easy to let the days pass you by, so it’s necessary to take a pause and be in the moment.

I made a new summer playlist.

I baked pumpkin bread.

I updated my altar and gave it a summery theme.

I went to Crystal Cave with Kevin and we did a guided tour in the cave, grabbed a snack, and got a bag of sand which you poured into a mill and collected crystals from.

Yesterday, marked one year since my mom has passed away. I went out for ice cream and got exactly what she would like.

And the day prior, as I was leaving work, I saw this cute groundhog (aka wombat!)

I wish everyone a blessed summer solstice and summer season ahead.
