DAY 5: APOLLO: favorite music / books / movies?

Apollo is the god of music and arts.

My favorite music varies, I like a lot of different things. I enjoy a decent amount of pop music. I really like EDM, specifically trance is my favorite, but also house, tropical, and techno too. My favorite DJs are Calvin Harris, Armin Van Buren, Avicii (Rest In Peace), Krewella, Alison Wonderland. I listen to rock, of course classic rock, and my favorites are Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Queen, and so on. Also modern rock and alternative; Imagine Dragons, Bastille, twenty one pilots, Yellowcard. Occasionally I like gothic or metal music, The Birthday Massacre being my favorite. And also love listening to 90s pop throwbacks like NSYNC and Backstreet Boys; I will forever love Britney Spears. My ultimate favorites are Ed Sheeran, Melanie Martinez, MØ, Lana Del Rey, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Doja Cat.

My favorite books tend to be nonfiction. There’s really too many to name any specifically! I really love books about supernatural and esoteric topics; love my astrology and tarot books, love pagan and witchy books, love spirituality books. I also love books about health, wellness, yoga, and herbalism. Biographies are very interesting. And I really love books on the ancient world and ancient mythology, no surprise! For fiction, I like a good YA or coming of age book. Mysteries and thrillers are great too. Recently I’m most interested in fiction retellings of greek mythology. But my all time favorite book has to be The Scarlet Letter because it’s such a timeless classic and I think it’s going to be the oldest book that will hold up through the ages.

My favorite movies tend to be comedy, I like a little drama too. My favorite movie is The Love Witch. The Disney Classics are always good, I love Pocahontas. At the top of my head other favorite movies are Our Idiot Brother, Shrek, The Night Before, This is the End, Red Sparrow, The Hunger Games, Jupiter Rising, A Cinderella Story, Greta. Seth Rogan movies are almost always fantastic. Growing up I was obsessed with Hilary Duff movies so I still enjoy them now as comfort movies. And I do really like documentaries, I definitely get sucked into crime and mystery docs, also love nature and animal docs, and really any kind of doc!
