Caturday ~ Luna turns six months!!!

My kitten, Luna, turns six months old today!!! My goodness, she has grown so much!

Luna is much more well behaved since her three-month birthday! Here and there she still wakes me up in the middle of the night, but much less than she used to! There were some nights when I couldn’t get any sleep at all because she would be too loud, or she’d be jumping on my face and attacking me, trying to play. Happy to say, she rarely does this anymore!

Luna and Venus get along so much better now. Luna doesn’t bother her nearly as much, and Venus truly enjoys having a playmate now. Venus seems happier and much less bored. You can tell Venus is still annoyed by her from time to time, but generally I feel they’ve developed a strong bond very quickly. Although Luna stiffs Venus’s butt a little too often.

What really helped propel the bonding process was feeding them together, at the same time. I looked it up, and this was one of the suggested techniques to introducing your new kitten to the resident cat. Sometimes they’ll even share the same bowl. It’s so cute how they always eat perfectly parallel from each other.

It was a rocky start, but I’m pleasently surprised at how fast they were able to get along with each other.

It’s crazy how big she’s gotten! Luna has very long legs, while Venus has very short and stubby legs. So I think once she’s fully grown within a year or so, she’s going to be taller than Venus.

Luna is such a sweetie pie, I really do love her so much! Can’t imagine life without her at this point!

Although still mischievous, she has really calmed down a lot, and is very well behaved (for the most part…)

Luna, here’s to hopefully many years ahead! I wish you health and happiness! Six more months to go, and you won’t be a kitten anymore, but a full grown cat!

And of course, I have to include some more Venus. Don’t want her feeling left out.

Sometimes I’ll go on YouTube and put on the live birdcam on my TV, and Venus loves it. It’s her favorite show.
